Wines of Israel is a promotional campaign organized and financed by the Israel’s government and almost 30 wine producers to educate the US citizens about the quality of Israeli wine. The project was implemented by Colangelo & Partners PR agency from New York, which asked to Superstudios for the entire photo & video production.
We said Yes! Of course! With pleasure! :)

As destination filmmakers and photographers we are almost always scattered around the world, traveling the air miles from project to project. it was the same in this case. We started our trip to Israel in Majorca, where we had another project of several days.
Our journey through Israel
For a week we have been with the camera in almost every corner of Israel. Starting from the north of the country, we were in the Golan Heights, in the middle we were in major cities such as Tel Aviv, Haifa or Jerusalem. We were in numerous villages, in the mountains, in the desert and the Dead Sea located in the east of the country.
Throughout our journey, we visited 28 Israeli vineyards, earned to recognize different grape varieties, different types of soil and the wine-making processes specific to a given vineyard. We have met countless grape and good food enthusiasts. It was fun!
It was hard! The heat of almost forty degrees did not give any respite all the time. Sometimes you had to figure out how to work without overheating the cameras. Our daily plan was to visit at least five vineyards.
We developed a work system for each location, which consisted of:
the recording of A-roll in the first place
B-roll recording with a main camera
creating drone shots
making additional photos
making voice notes useful later in editing
