Personal project Nürburgring/Norschleife, Germany, May 2018
the Green Hell
The Nürburgring was famously nicknamed as “The Green Hell” by Sir Jackie Stewart after he won the 1968 German Grand Prix in a rainstorm and thick fog.
The track is one of the most demanding in the world. Tricky corners, treacherous crests, steep inclines and gradients and constantly changing road surfaces demand great skill from the driver and put vehicles to a hard test.
This video is an inspirational documentary that follows Marcin Fedyna on the road connecting great dreams and real racing. He dreamed about racing since he was a child. Today, he pursues his passions by attending trackdays and racing in the amateur league at the Nurburgring. In the future, he wants to have his own team, a GT3 class car and take part in 24 hours races.
Taking pictures at the Nurburgring is difficult. The track is over 20 km long and stretches across a large area, crossing all kinds of villages and small towns. For this reason, moving around this area is very difficult. An additional obstacle is the large difference in height between the individual parts of the track. However, Superstudios has a lot of journey-travel experience, which allows us to achieve the goals and create movies despite obstacles and difficulties.
Superstudios is also a big fans of cars and motorsport. We understand the passion for racing, the roar of engines, the smell of gasoline and burnt rubber. We are happy that we can transform our automotive passion into films and show what is the most beautiful in it.
We dealt with preproduction, location scouting, production, video and music editing. The final movie was colorgraded with flames&roses LUTs.
Along with a normal movie, Superstudios can prepare specially formatted films for the needs of social media such as instagram, instagram stories or facebook.
